John was appointed to the Board in May 2006 and appointed Chairman in October 2007. John also serves as a non-executive director of Select Managed Fund’s subsidiary companies and has been Chairman of the Fund Compliance and Risk Committee since 1999 and a Director of Select since November 2004. He currently holds a number of directorships which include the $2.5 billion Vision Super Fund and Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Trust. He is also the Chairman of the Port of Hastings Corporation. He is chair of the City of Melbourne audit committee and sits on a number of other audit committees. After establishing his own accounting firm in 1973, John moved into senior management in the financial services industry in 1982 with OAMPS Ltd, a listed Australian company. In 1989 he was appointed chief executive officer of OAMPS Ltd and remained there until 1993.

Chris joined Australian Wealth Management (AWM) as Managing Director in May 2006. Prior to joining AWM he had been Managing Director of Select Managed Funds since 1997. Chris is responsible for the management and strategic direction of AWM. Chris has more than 20 years investment management and business development experience. Chris was previously joint managing director of Citicorp Global Asset Management from 1985 to 1997. Chris spent 12 years with Citibank during which time he was responsible for business management, strategic marketing and sales growth in Australia, and performed an important role in the establishment of Citicorp Investment Management/Global Asset Management in Australia and establishing its New Zealand business. Prior to joining Citicorp Global Asset Management, Chris was director of Quest Investment Limited, a listed venture capital company. Chris also serves as Director of DKN Financial Group Ltd.

Ian joined Australian Wealth Management in May 2006. He is also an executive director of Select Managed Funds, a position he has held since 1989. Ian has more than 30 years experience in the financial and superannuation industries. Ian joined Select after a career in superannuation administration and consulting commencing with AMP in 1972. He is acknowledged as one of the key drivers of the business since joining in 1989. Ian has served on various boards, including the listed trustee company Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees Limited.
Myles Stewart-Hesketh - Non Executive Director

Appointed to the Board in May 2006, Myles has also been a Non Executive Director for Select Managed Funds since November 2004. Myles has more than 18 years domestic and international experience in banking and finance including Victorian Manager of the Sanwa Bank and Vice President of Citibank. He has more than 14 years experience in agrochemical business in both Australia and overseas. He is managing director of AL SAIF Crop Protection, an agricultural chemicals marketing company, and managing director of SireneCall Pty Ltd, an agbiotech company. Myles is also a director of Pacific Biotechnologies Pte Ltd, a Singaporean company with interests in crop protection, forestry and pharmaceuticals. Myles was formerly a non-executive director of the Victorian Government Purchasing Board (1994-2000).

George Venardos was appointed to the board of Australian Wealth Management in January 2008 as a non executive director. George is also the Chairman of the Statutory Audit and Risk Management Committee.
George, who is the Chief Financial Officer of Insurance Australia Group Limited (IAG) has more than 26 years experience in the insurance, investment and finance sectors. He is the Chairman of the Finance and Accounting Standing Committee for the Insurance Council of Australia.
